From whispery mind-scramble to speaker melting blow-out, Kid Romance's WTF-approach to song-sculpting -and recording has caused known music connoisseurs to proclaim "brain-damaged arm pit farts" about their sexy and confrontational art form. "Our intentions do not always translate into physical form like sounds or images the way that we want them to. They also tend to need translation from one mind to another because minds change meaning. The work "punk" to me may not mean "punk" to you", says Lucy Watson, Kid Romance front-woman.
Postscript: A was-to-be contender for the soundtrack of the forthcoming sexual revolution, Scared of Outside never made it to the Iphones of yonder as the band broke up the day the record came out and thus never took its potential beyond being buried under someone's bed :-(
It's all good though (sorta).
